About NCCG
Technology is the tool. Delivery is the difference.
NCCG was founded on a simple observation: successful technology programs are driven by experienced people, effective governance and disciplined delivery, not software alone.

Who We Are
About Nelson Cook Consultancy Group
We provide honest, expert guidance to organisations making important technology decisions. Free from software sales incentives, our advice is independent, practical and grounded in real delivery experience.
NCCG was founded in 2012 after seeing too many technology programs fall short of what the business actually needed. The problem was rarely the software alone. It was the disconnect between technology, business requirements and the delivery discipline needed to make change stick.
In 2014, we applied that same discipline to Yardi platform delivery, where the gap between technology implementation and business outcomes was particularly evident in the property sector. While many consulting firms operated across multiple platforms and service lines, we chose to build a dedicated Yardi practice, with deep capability in both the platform and the business disciplines surrounding it.
That focus established NCCG as a specialist in property technology and Yardi, but the capability behind it has never been limited to one platform. Our consultants bring decades of combined experience across enterprise software strategy, implementation, business analysis, data migration, systems integration, testing and program delivery. That experience spans property, banking, finance, construction and broader technology transformation.
Every engagement is led by experienced practitioners who remain involved through delivery, so our recommendations are shaped by what actually works — not a generic methodology or someone else’s sales agenda.
Headquartered in Sydney and operating across the Asia Pacific region, we work with organisations of different sizes across property management, investment management, development and construction, and banking and finance. Whatever the engagement, we show up the same way: prepared, honest and focused on what matters to you.

Track Record
Programs we’ve delivered
Four examples from a broader track record of technology, transformation and Yardi delivery.
An anonymised selection of real engagements, each beginning with a business problem and ending with a decision made, a program reset or a system live.
Select
Choosing the platform to run the business on
A major ASX-listed property group set out to replace a range of disparate applications with a single unified platform. Working alongside the client’s Head of Technology, we shaped the system strategy and led the selection — capturing requirements, running vendor engagements through RFI and RFP, and coordinating a structured, scenario-based evaluation in which shortlisted vendors demonstrated against the client’s predefined scenarios. We supported the commercial modelling for the finalists, developed the benefits case, and drafted the business case for Executive and Board approval.
It’s one of several engagements where we’ve helped major listed property groups select platforms and establish the programs that followed.
Outcome The client selected Yardi, approved the business case, and authorised the program to proceed.
Assure
Telling clients what they need to hear
Asked to assess a client’s platform and advise on adding new modules, we recommended the opposite of what they expected — park the new modules, and first get the existing system working as it should. We then delivered that groundwork alongside their own team, implementing the modules that genuinely mattered and capturing a continuous-improvement backlog to work through as BAU.
It’s a role clients bring us into repeatedly — providing functional and test-management expertise to assure a delivery, sitting on steering committees to give executives a clear read on risk and progress, and running independent health checks on programs under pressure, where our recommendations have reset scope, refocused teams, and brought delivery back on track.
Outcome Whether assuring a program we’re delivering or reviewing one we’re not, the value is the same: an honest, expert view the client can act on.
Implement
Running the program end to end
On a large multiphase program, we provided program and project management and lead consultants across leasing, property operations, development, finance, procure-to-pay and the VendorCafe and CommercialCafe modules. We coordinated the client, Yardi, contractors and our own consultants as one delivery team, managing integrations to the client’s data warehouse, banking and third-party compliance systems, along with testing, defect resolution, cutover and transition across each phase. The program also included shaping platform enhancements with Yardi that were subsequently incorporated into the product.
We’re also trusted with the delivery that follows major portfolio moves — migrating and consolidating property portfolios onto a single Yardi platform after acquisitions, bringing client and vendor teams together to land the change with minimal disruption.
Outcome Complex, multi-party programs delivered as one coordinated team — driving efficiency and strategic advantage for the client.
Run & Evolve
Staying for the long haul
Long after go-live, we keep clients' platforms current. Much of this work is upgrade and enhancement — rolling out and upgrading the VendorCafe and CommercialCafe modules, and managing the move to Yardi’s Version 8: running the evaluation and testing to establish what to adopt and when, then delivering the phased rollout, so clients move forward with confidence rather than risk.
We also extend and support the platform as needs evolve — implementing new modules such as Construction Manager to bring governance and insight to development and capex, delivering functionality such as outgoings and recoveries and investment-management consolidations, replacing manual, spreadsheet-driven work with automation and control, and embedding our people directly in clients' BAU teams to run the system day to day or cover resourcing gaps and longer absences.
Outcome The relationships don’t end at go-live — we stay on to keep finding efficiency, accuracy, and capability the platform can deliver.
These sit alongside a broader portfolio across other sectors — ask us about them.
Our Approach
How We Work
Every engagement is different, but the same delivery disciplines sit behind our work. Whether we’re providing advice, leading a program, assuring a delivery, or supporting an operational team, we adapt our approach to the task at hand while applying the same standards of planning, governance and delivery discipline.
01
Understand & Define
Before we recommend anything, we get under the covers of your organisation — current-state processes, the environment you operate in, and what success actually looks like for your business, not a generic checklist.
02
Plan & Manage
Clear plans, honest progress reporting, and senior accountability at every stage, so issues surface early and get resolved rather than escalated late.
03
Test & Assure
Structured test management from test planning through to UAT coordination and defect resolution, so you go live on evidence rather than hope.
04
Stabilise & Improve
We don’t disappear after go-live. Post go-live support, optimisation, and continuous improvement as your needs evolve — the relationship continues well past cutover, not just through it.
